Our way of working together

The Gebr. Heinemann Code of Ethics reflects our way of working together and how we conduct our business. The Code reinforces our position internally towards our employees and externally towards our business partners in the areas of human rights, environmental protection, anti-corruption, fair competition, data protection, our secure supply chain and our approach to animal welfare.

The Code officially underlines Gebr. Heinemann´s compliance with globally recognised ecological, legal and social standards and beyond. It is giving orientation of how we conduct our business, and thus protects and promotes global Travel Retail.

As a signatory and accelerator member of the United Nations Global Compact, we lay down our fundamental principles on human rights in our Code of Ethics for employees, business partners and suppliers. At the end of 2022, we published our strategy for implementing human rights due diligence in a policy statement.

Our Compliance compass

Our Compliance approach together with the Code of Ethics provides the authoritative orientation for ethical behaviour within our daily business. It extends the corporate philosophy, which is our guiding principle and the basis for the success of our joint activities, to include the message of sustainable and responsible action in international Travel Retail.

Like a compass, it clearly and precisely points the way for ethical conduct both within our departments and companies and in business relationships within the international context. Our additional globally binding Compliance policies support us in keeping track of that. They shed light on the related legal foundations and legal requirements and create a clear, binding framework for our daily activities and cooperation.
