Your job: keeping
everything in motion
Transparent and efficient: Our application process.
We look forward to receiving your documents and want to make your application as easy and convenient as possible. You’ll find everything you need to know right here.

Why would be we a good fit?
Tell us in a cover letter.

A cover letter/statement of purpose is optional, but you may want to take the opportunity to tell us more about yourself. This is especially recommended at the beginning of your career, as your CV does not yet include many positions. Make it clear why you are applying for this particular position with us. What is the rationale behind your application? What is your long-term goal and why is this position the appropriate next step towards it? Describe the qualities and experience that you can contribute to our company.

Quickly done and well received:
Apply online.

Ideally, send us your application online – it’s quick and easy. Simply upload all the files and send them directly to the right contact person. That way, we can import your data smoothly and respond to your application promptly. It also saves you time and money. Filling out the application only takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Preparation is everything:
How to ensure a good job interview.

We know how nerve-wracking a selection situation is for most people – so we try to make this appointment as pleasant as possible for you. Ask yourself in advance what tasks and aspects you find particularly exciting and where you would like to develop further. How do you like to work and what qualities do you bring to the job? Why did you apply for this position, and why with us? Take a look at our company, history and values. Which values do you identify with especially? The better prepared you are, the more relaxed you can be about the interview.

A comfortable look:
Dress for success…by minimising stress.

We recommend that, above all, you pick an outfit you feel comfortable in. This ensures you won’t be distracted and can concentrate on the interview. There are few things more annoying than a tight or itchy outfit. So, don’t dress up, but choose an outfit that suits you and your desired position. Think about how you can make a good first impression.

You don’t have to be perfect – just be yourself.

We are looking for personalities – rough edges and all. Don’t pretend; just be yourself. After all, we want to get to know you as a person and have a conversation with you on an equal footing / on a mutually respectful level.

Questions about the application
Here are the answers.

You can’t possibly know everything, but you can ask anything. In the following, we have compiled some questions that we are asked particularly often.

How up-to-date are the job advertisements on the career site?
What is the best way to apply?
Which documents should I send in?
What size and format should my application documents be?
Are multiple applications possible?
How quickly can I expect to receive a response? How long does the application process take?
My preferred position is advertised as a temporary. Is it possible to get an open-ended contract?
How can I find out what salary to expect?
I would like to apply to one of your joint ventures. Is this possible via your career site, even though the joint venture is a separate company?
Will Gebr. Heinemann reimburse my travel expenses if I am invited to an interview?
Should I expect tests or stress questions in the interview?
What language will the interview be conducted in?
Is there a dress code for the interview?
Are there any special requirements for working at the airport and at Gebr. Heinemann logistics sites?
Will I be automatically rejected if my report cards/certificates contain certain grades?

The first step is easy.
This is what happens after a successful application.

Nervous? You don’t need to be. Relax and look forward to onboarding with your new colleagues and to an individual support process for your role. Questions are always welcome!
