In 1969 Gebr. Heinemann opened its first Duty Free Shops, and in 1999 it established the Travel Value brand. Today, Gebr. Heinemann operates over 179 Travel Value/Duty-Free Shops at 49 international airports in 19  countries:

Duty Free shows its new face to the world.
A new marketing concept has been launched on Dezember 4th, 2008. Heinemann has dramatically enhanced the concept of the Travel Value & Duty Free Shops. The world premiere shop, located at Hamburg Airport Plaza, covers 1,400 m² floor space and offers a completely new experience to shoppers along with an extensive range of services. Heinemann also promotes service innovations, for example travellers will be able to shop online before arriving at the airport on the new website www.heinemann-dutyfree.com.
