Growing markets require smooth trading channels. The new logistics centre, which Gebr. Heinemann brought into operation in 2003 in Hamburg-Allermöhe, is one of the most modern in Europe. From here we send out deliveries to more than 1,000 clients at airports, seaports and border crossings worldwide.

Every day 200 lorries can be dispatched and 3,500 pallets processed; 85,000 order items (per day) and 200,000 commissioned sales units (per day) can be prepared. In the high racks there is room for 45,000 pallets, while 55 robots take on the heavy work. There is a further 20,000 sqm of handling space available, as well as 30 loading and dispatch gates.

An IT network with special warehouse and handling technology helps considerably with just-in-time dispatches. Product ranges that are permanently stocked in the warehouse can be automatically combined and matched with product ranges from other producers according to the wishes of clients.
