There we will train you to become a Retail Trade professional with a particular emphasis on Cosmetics/Perfume and Textiles.

Your training programme
Over three years you will be trained as a Retail Trade professional. The training will be accompanied by product range training courses by our international distributors as well as by specialised internal training courses. During your diverse training you will work in a wide variety of business locations and will have contact with the international customers of the Travel Value and Duty Free shops. Support in preparing you fully for the final examination is standard at Gebr. Heinemann.
First year of training: Selling in our Travel Value and Duty Free shops at the airport will constitute the core of your training. You learn everything about our service and our comprehensive product range. Furthermore you get to work in various departments in our headquarters in the Speicherstadt (Warehouse City) and occasionally support the Warehouse and Logistics staff in order to get an insight into the complex ordering and delivery procedures.
Second and third years of training: Alongside your work in Sales you will now deepen your knowledge of the various business segments of Gebr. Heinemann as well as your knowledge of the world of travel shopping. You will get to know the Buying, Accounting, Advertising and Promotion departments as well as Personnel, and thereby gain an understanding of the complex interconnections and working procedures within our company.

After successfully completing your training, you will begin working as a member of the Sales staff. As a growing and dynamic company, Gebr. Heinemann offers diverse development opportunities and perspectives.
